I cannot extend enough praise for the double eagle and the crew. Every time is wonderful and they are so helpful. This past weekend they took us out to spread my husband's ashes and we fished. The captain was amazing and took care of everything and his crew was top notch. We even had dolphins a dolphin escourt out of the marina. Thank you for making our time special.

I took my wife out to celebrate her birthday while our son and his family were here visiting. Although there were nine of us (5 adults a 4 kids) the crew was on top of their game helping the kids when they needed it. Although the fish were small we caught plenty and had a great time. The only disappointing part of it all was we paid to have the fish cleaned and when we got home and cooked them they were full of bones and were un edible. We ended up having to throw them out.

Half day fishing with double eagle was amazing, from start to finish we caught fish. The crew was great, cleaned all the fish at the end and gave us advice on where to get them cooked. My son and I would def recommend them

My son and I took the Friday afternoon trip and had a blast. We have been on this boat several times before and we always catch fish. On our recent trip we caught so many different types of fish and had another great fishing trip. The Captain and the crew are always helpful and friendly. Thank you so much!!

Drove from Texas to go on their 12 hr overnight trip. Was probably the worse fishing trip ever. Captain drove out for over 5 hours. We got to fish 20 minutes, he drove out another 30 minutes, we got to fish another 20 minutes, he drove out another 30 minutes and we got to fish for our last 20 minutes the he started the long 6 hour trip back to port. Not one nibble, the rod I rented worked but was not fully functional. My friend caught 2 and they gave them away and he did not get any when we returned to port. Would never recommend these people. Not enough seating for everyone with people sleeping all over the cabin. I did not pay for a 11 hour boat ride, I paid for a fishing trip. Captain had no idea of where the fish were, like it was his first trip. Defiantly did not care about his customers.

I caught a giant turtle no one new it was a turtle, the line kept going out thought I had a whale, after half hour I slowly brought him to the surface everyone took pics except me, This gave me a story for a life time

After a recommendation I at 72 went out on this boat for a bucket list want, alone. I could not have had a better day with good people. Yep I caught the biggest?I don’t even remember what kind?I did not care I was just happy and at peace! ( peace was after fish was on deck). Shawn is the most amazing teacher and works his toocus off. Without him my adventure would not have been the same. I will go back and now bring a cushion to sit on.?. Please give these people a try. Thanks Shawn.

Ive been on this boat many, many times and never been disappointed. Took my son on his very first party boat trip with the Double Eagle and man did they put us on some fish. He had a blast and caught a 19" mangrove snapper and we caught 3 lane snappers also a nice 16" yellow tail , 19" HOGFISH( BUCKET LIST FISH) , 2 grey porgies, keywest grunts I wish I could post the cut and gut table at home. So I appreciate the captain and mates for a wonderful first time for my young man. I'll be seeing you on your 12 hrs trip in two weeks. Blessings to you all. MAY THE WINDS BE WEAK AND THE BITE BE STRONG JUST SO WE CAN FISH ALL FAY LONG.

We went on the all day trip on May 17th and would definitely rate it 5 stars. This was our first time Ocean fishing in general and we were impressed by everything. The cost for a public charter is a 4th of what a private charter and absolutely did not disappoint!

We got there early and there were already a few people on board holding down their seat, so definitely go early. There ended up being a small group of about 10 people total on board on a Friday. We did end up getting sea sick halfway into the ride out which lingered for the redt of the trip so prepare for that even if you dont think it will happen to you. The full day trip was about a 2 hour ride out, 4 and a half hours of fishing and an hour and a half back. The captain moved around about 5 or 6 times which was good.

The food on board was really good, cooked fresh and the prices were very reasonable.

We were most impressed with our guide Shawn. He is clearly an expert fisherman and enjoys teaching people. He was excited for every catch and right there to help unhook the fish, tell you about the species, re-rig your line, he even would bait your hook for you.
He stored everyone's fish on there assigned lines in the cooler. When we got to shore he filet all the fish everyone wanted for 25 cents a fish. We left him a nice tip because he definitely deserves it. Then you can take your fish to one of the restaurants on shore and they will cook it for you with some sides.

We caught lots of grunts, one red lane and one grouper but had to throw the grouper back because it wasn't big enough. Others on board caught what we did and also caught a nurse shark and a puffer fish.

We would love to go back and bring our son. We would only do the half day trip next time instead, as a full day is pretty exhausting if you aren't seasoned to ocean fishing and the sea sickness hit my husband pretty hard. He ended up taking a quick nap which seemed to help but really felt the lingering sea sickness for the rest of the day.

We will definitely be coming back the next time we are in Clearwater. 5 stars for Double Eagle for sure!

My lady and I just got back from our first saltwater trip ever and the crew at Double Eagle made it an amazing experience. The capt. Kept our group on the fish and the deck hands were there to make sure the experience was a smooth one. Shawn was especially patient and helpful whenever we blew up a rod or giving out fishing advice.
My lady and I can't wait to book another trip.

We had a fantastic time. We came from Wisconsin and I brought my brother and nephew with me. Was their first time deep sea fishing. They loved it so much that they are coming back. Shawn made it much fun and was very helpful. Always smiling with all the running aroung They desreve a 5 star rating

Went out on 11-22 and absolutely slayed the big grunts, bonita, and caught a 20 lb gag which was out of season. Also hooked 7 or 8 more grouper that I couldn't lift off the bottom with my gear. Was flipping 1.5oz jigging spoons tipped with squid. Next time I will bring heavier gear so I can get the grouper off the bottom. Sean the deck boss did a great job and super friendly. Highly suggest using these guys for the full day trip. Thanks Yall

Taylor did a great job removing fish and untangling the braided line that we had in our reels!! He and Bob and Curtis were awesome!!

First time ever we have went deep sea fishing and it was AMAZING , from now on we will be coming down to double eagle anytime we are in the area to go fishing, we had an absolute ball!

We went out fishing with Double Eagle in February and had a good time, great rates. We visited again in Oct and immediately looked up double Eagle Fishing again. They did not disappoint, not only were the rates still good, it had familiar faces and Shawn who was the best! We even extended our vaca a day just to go out with these boys again. Don’t forget to have a snack on the boat (Mike) makes delicious burgers too! Thanks for making our vacation memorable. We will be back!

Just returned from a very enjoyable 36 hr. trip. Even though the fish had lockjaw and I caught nothing I realized that the captains were working extra hard to put us on some biting fish. Thanks to the captains and crew for a great weekend.

may 5th went out for 36 hour trip and was concerned the weather was looking very unfavorable for fishing was assured by the captains and crew everything is good, 8 hours out in rought seas, was very sick and the weather got worst later that day with the wind and lighting at one point bad. 8-10 foot seas hard to fish and not many fish were caught at all. atrer 23 hours of getting are ass kicked the decided to cut and run..Not sure what the owner was thinking . he jepordised our safety and the crew. not a refund, not half of refund, Not even an offer to have us back for a do over. i will make sure i share this misfortune to all who can here. I really like the crew and would reconcider if the owner can make it right. the cost was $575.00 hard earned money and i got one keeper. no way to treat your customers.

Had so much fun out fishing on the Double Eagle, that we went out again the following week. The Captain worked to get us on fish. He, Bob and Taylor were friendly, and made our trip fun. Boat is very clean. We will be back next year!!!

Every time out on the double eagle I got the biggest fish been going every year with friends, One year hooked a seaturtle had no idea what I had till I finally got him close enought to see this took over a hour most fun I ever had thanx double eagle great time will be back

My husband and I went on the half day on Jan 18 and then did the full day on Jan 20, both trips were amazing! Captain and crew were great, answered any questions we had, . We caught many, just had a great time. We will definitely do this again when we are in the area. We will also recommend to anyone we talk to.

First time out in a boat on the ocean and it was fantastic!! We all caught fish and Shawn was very patient with all of us, especially with my 9 yr old grandson. The burgers were great!! Whenever the fish biting seemed to slow down the captain took us to another spot and boom, they were biting again. High recommend this trip!!

Fantastic experience despite bad weather. Captain seemed to steer us into the best conditions with storms around us and mate Shawn was highly invested in us catching fish. Couldn't recommend these folks enough.

Do not pay to go on this boat,find another,the charged me for a rod rental,telling me if I don’t get rod rental,I would have to buy rigs,we’ll i used my own rods, and had to buy rigs.i tried getting the rod rental money back, and was refused,don’t get ripped off

Great experience with boat and crew.
Caught a nice stringer of grunts plus a couple lane snapper each trip.
Can't wait to go again!

Took our 15 yr old grandson today. We couldn’t be more pleased. Shawn was phenomenal. Very excellent at running a smooth/ successful charter. We caught a lot of fish & Shawn filleted and package them for us. We can’t wait to come back & im sure that we will!

New kid Grayson did a great job on the 12 hour trip. And as always mike billy and Curtis did a great job. New moon fishing is always hard but we got some nice fish.tganks again guys. ??

I went on the all day trip with my girlfriend who had never deep sea fished before. We had a great time and Got some great fish. They gave me a nice military veteran discount so cool of them. Even the cook helped me get fish the crew is amazing I plan to fish with them again any time I visit Clearwater beach . Thank you , mike and Jennifer from Minnesota .

The crew was great, knowledgeable, Friendly, and helpful. They put us on fish all afternoon. Great little trip for my sons and I who play baseball every weekend and were looking for a change of pace. Will book again in the offseason.

Went on our 5th 12 hour trip 7/24/20 and Capt Curtis put us on em! He was incredible, even though it was rough, his spot was epic! Best red snapper trip we've ever been on! Red snapper and mangrove snapper all over the place! ? Caught the biggest red snapper I've ever caught, and we caught our limit on one stop. Gave some away to others as well. Thanks for the memories Captain Curtis, we'll get that grouper that broke me off next time! Can't wait to go again! See you soon

Took the 8hr trip on July 21, 2020. Was kind of disappointed, because of the 2 1/2 hr slow ride out and, 2 1/2 hr ride back is pretty boring.
Only 3 hrs of fishing, which included moving 4 or 5 times.
We did catch a few fish and the crew were good to us.

Have fishes on the double eagle for 40 years off and on when I was on. The last 3 times I didn't catch a single fish which was rare but there was only 10 to 15 people in board and the capt. just let the boat air in the same in the same spot when nobody was catching anything.We moved twice. Total disappointed.

We've been out several times now with the double eagle just went on the 27 hr trip IT WAS GREAT! Wonderful people wonderful environment great fishing and hands down best mates in the business(ROO & BILLY) fast on their feet VERY resourceful and always going the extra yard to make sure your experience is a great one. We've found our home when it comes to fishing trips to say the least. THANK YOU ALL AT DOUBLE EAGLE FOR THE PRICELESS MEMORIES. SEE YALL SOON!

Horrible time on this boat.

Went fishing yesterday and the boat was loaded the front of the boat caught a ton of fish and people on the back only caught small fish . Found out that the captain did not like a guy that had electric reel's and told a friend of mine who asked he was going to do his best to make sure that he did not get fish we fished next to them and they are great people we heard stories about how great this boat is and how long they have fished on this boat .the father is a veteran and his son is also the helped several of us undo tangled line showed us how to do many things to make sure we had a great time out it is hard to find people who are willing to help deck mate's were to busy carrying fish from the front of the boat to help us out on the back I hope the father,son and his wife read this so our family can thank them for at least trying to make it a better day for us they are great people

went on 12 hour trip June 24 2019 had great time caught 2 nice red snapper the crew and Capt Thad did a great job

I went on the half day fishing trip with my grandpa and his friends. It was such an amazing experience. I had never been deep sea fishing before so the tutorial was extremely helpful. We caught so many fish that day and made some never ending memories.

I cant wait to be back again this year

The last red snapper trip of the 2018 season was amazing. More snapper than I’ve ever caught, and some grouper and mangs as a bonus. Chad knows where they are, so don’t pass up a trip with him.

Me and my dad have been going out fishing with the Double Eagle crew since i was 6 so about 28 years now. It just gets better and better each time. Crew is always amazing. Just went out yesterday and came back with 2 stringers full. Grew up with Sandy and Chad teaching me more and more each time i went out and cant wait to start taking my girls out with us fishing. Keep up the hard work and ill see yall again definitely when we come back to Florida.

Went fishing on 1/26/18, . I had a great time on board the double eagle, . The Captain and crew where very nice,people. There was plenty of fish to be caught, I would recommend this boat from Clearwater beach Florida 5 star!

It started out rough this morning, from the rough seas. Once we got to our location we started to catch them! Peter the deck hand was super top notch!! I don’t think he ever stop running around! Thanks for a great trip today!!

I went on the full day trip on the 1st of November and was truly disappointed. It seems that the captain was only interested in catching his grouper limit. Every time the fish were biting the captain would start the engine and move. We fished 10 minutes and moved around for another 15 minutes the entire trip. The crew were wonderful helping when they could but had to spend the majority of the day pulling and dropping the anchor. I fish for a hobby and it's been a very long time since I have been on a boat like this. I hope this is not the norm for this fleet. A waste of my time money and vacation.

GM response- Jessie, thank you for your comment. I would say you must have picked an off day. If the Captain was moving the boat that often, the fish must have been biting slow. I do allow some of my crew to fish and 99% of the fish they catch are given to customers on board. I can assure you that this day is the "Norm" for my business. I'll bet you will have different results on your next trip.

went fishing with my nephew last saturday and our trip was bad no groupers the only fish we caught was grunts the boat was on the wrong place most of its time we really waste a lot of time we felt disappointed I would not make another trip with them

If you want a long boat ride and mediocre fishing this is definitely a trip for a cruise

Full day trip on July5th for my two son's and one grandson! We caught 39 keeper fish, porgies, grunts mostly. Caught a few small red grouper and I caught a tagged red grouper so I get a t shirt! Over all a beautiful day! The crew was great and the guy doing all the running around was awesome keeping our fish on our line and plenty of bait!

We went on a half day trip and what an amazing time we had. We ended up catching a dozen fish and an Octopus. Couldn't recommend these guys highly enough. Super helpful crew!

My Sister and I took my son on a half day fishing trip and had the best time. He caught a King fish and many other sea bass and snappers. The 3 guys that were on the trip were absolutely fantastic. They were friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable about all the fish. My son had the best time and its something he will never forget. We will definatly be back to do it again!!

What a GREAT day. Can't Chris took us to numerous spots and I caught fish in every one. Drum and some others.
Mark was super at taking care of me and fileted my fish in record time.. We took them to Cooters and they fried them up -- what a treat. Great crew - great fishing - great day.

Took the 8 hour trip on 7-28-16 with my Son and 8 year old grandson. 1st mat Mark was great taking care of us and all the other passengers. He got our fish tagged quick and made sure my grandson was able to catch fish. He cleared any tangled lines quick. Captain Sam and Mark put us on top of fish and we had a great day with 27 fish to keep and eat. Captain Sam and Mark got my grandson to wheel house and let him steer the vessel under a watchful eye. Now grandson wants to go everyday. Could not be more pleased with great crew and a fun family day. You gotta go with these guys!

Fishing was decent yesterday. Caught a bunch including a huge grouper. The staff was very accommodating to my 10 year old. Looking forward to going back.

Went for a half day fishing trip with my dad for his birthday and had a great time. We caught tons of grunts and I caught big grouper. Great crew that helps you when you need it. The Kids and I went out on an eight hour trip and it was awesome we caught a large keeper grouper and a bunch of grunts and were catching other fish all day there were mackerel,sea bass , and various other fish caught! We Loved a great trip overall! May be next year we can convince the wife to come there is a great sun deck where she can relax and read her book.
